The $1 million prizes were won on a quick pick ticket sold at Wegmans in Chestnut Hill and another quick pick ticket sold at Jaqueline’s Mini Market in Lawrence, according to the Massachusetts lottery.

This is the first time that Chestnut Hill Wegman’s has had a major winner. Store manager Todd Drickel said he learned about the winning ticket while listening to a radio show on the way to work.

“When I walked into the store this morning, we saw on our machine that we had, in fact, sold one of the million dollar lottery tickets,” Drickel said.

Drickel said that Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. will receive approximately $10,000 for selling the winning ticket at the Chestnut Hill store.
